At the Institute of Forensic Science (IOFS), we recognize the critical need to bring medical and scientific rigor to Family Court proceedings. Our mission is to protect public health, promote justice, and provide courts with incomparable scientific expertise and integrity dedicated to safeguarding children and families.
We recognize that deceptive or unsupported expert opinions can have devastating consequences—destroying families, placing children in peril, and eroding trust in the justice system. IOFS exists to counter these harms by establishing a higher standard for forensic mental health through scientific precision, ethical accountability, and unwavering commitment to truth.
Through expert evaluation, education, and advocacy, IOFS strives to lead systemic reform that protects the vulnerable and advances a justice system rooted in honesty, integrity, and compassion. To this end, we have been actively connecting parents, advocates, policymakers, reform organizations, and ethical attorneys, and we will soon be launching an innovative membership platform designed to empower and serve the public.
Our comprehensive membership will provide:

Dr. Lee’s recent testimonies in Arizona and Idaho—now widely circulated nationally—speak directly to this issue and have galvanized support from across the country.
Notably, Senator Mark Finchem has emerged as an outspoken advocate, joining Dr. Lee in her testimony in Idaho and publicly endorsing her calls for judicial accountability and reform.
These cases highlight the very real danger posed by unchecked pseudo-science authority and the devastating impact it has on children, families, and the public’s trust in our justice system.
